Per diem rates in Finland, 2026

In Finland, the employer may pay the employee a tax-free per diem to cover the increased cost of living during a business trip. The per diem is tax-free up to the maximum rates set annually by the Finnish Tax Administration (Verohallinto).

A per diem can be paid when the trip is at least 15 km from the employee’s usual workplace or home, and the trip lasts at least 6 hours. Bezala supports per diem payments in Finland.

  1. Partial per diem (6–10 hours): €25
  2. Full per diem (over 10 hours): €54

If a per diem isn’t paid, the employer can instead pay a tax-free meal allowance of €13.50 to cover the cost of meals during the trip.
