Clevry operates in more than 30 countries and replaced its country-specific travel and expense solutions with a single system. Manual work in finance decreased, and recording expenses became a quick routine for employees. Watch the video to see how the change progressed and why the training package they had prepared turned out to be unnecessary.
Clevry is an international technology and HR services company that helps organisations make better recruitment and people decisions through data-driven assessments. The company operates in more than 30 countries, and its solution is used to assess more than 2.5 million people every year.
As its international organisation grew, Clevry wanted to replace the local travel and expense solutions used in different countries with a single system. The goal was to harmonise ways of working, reduce manual work and build a solution that would also support the company’s future growth.
In the video, Lauri Loikkanen, Group Controller responsible for group financial reporting, finance processes and systems, and Roope Rajala, who leads international sales of Clevry’s platform solutions, share their experiences.
Consistent processes for an international organisation
When choosing a system, Clevry needed a solution that would serve several countries and be easy to use for both the finance team and end users.
“We wanted to find a provider that could offer us a solution that would work as well as possible across several of our countries, that would be built on modern technology, and that would put ease of use first for both finance and end users. After these discussions, Bezala was chosen as the best solution for us,” Loikkanen says.
Since implementing Bezala, Clevry has handled all travel and expense claims in one system. Automation and integrations have streamlined processes and reduced manual work in finance. The rollout also went more smoothly than expected:
“We prepared a training package for employees on using Bezala, but we quickly noticed there was no need for it. The system was really intuitive to adopt,” Loikkanen notes.
Easier everyday work for users
A single system benefits employees too. Expenses can be recorded as soon as they occur, so collecting receipts and filing travel expense claims don’t pile up for later.
Clevry has also integrated its company cards with Bezala, so cardholders can see directly in the app which receipts are still waiting to be added. Bezala also sends automatic reminders about any missing receipts.
In the video, Roope Rajala explains how Bezala has made life easier for him as a frequent traveller and turned expense reporting into a quick part of the working day.
“It’s an easy and quick routine,” says Rajala.
A solution that supports growth
In an international organisation, a system has to adapt to business growth and to the needs of different countries. In Clevry’s experience, Bezala has provided a consistent way of working that supports both users and the finance team. Loikkanen also highlights the importance of ease of use:
“Ease of use is really central. Our users truly appreciate it, and from the finance perspective, well-functioning integrations and automation make day-to-day work easier.”
Bezala’s product development has also exceeded Loikkanen’s expectations:
“Over the years, Bezala has continuously introduced new features that have made our work easier. They might be automations, better integrations or AI solutions that directly support our work and free up our time for other things.”
In the video, Loikkanen and Rajala go into more detail about how the rollout progressed, what benefits the new way of working has brought to Clevry’s international operations, and why Bezala has met the company’s needs at different stages of growth.
