Effects of the new 25.5% VAT in Finland on Bezala

Alv 25 5 korotuksen vaikutukset bezalaan

Finnish general value-added tax rate increases from 24% to 25.5% starting from September 1st. This release compiles its effects on Bezala.

New VAT Percentage 25.5%

The new VAT percentage of 25.5% will be visible to all Finnish companies on Monday, August 19th.

Please pay special attention to ensure that the new 25.5% VAT percentage is not selected on receipts when adding or approving receipts for purchases made before September 1st.

Deactivation of the Old VAT Percentage

The expiring VAT percentage of 24% can still be selected for new receipts until the end of 2024. The 24% VAT will be removed from visibility on the first working day of next year, January 2, 2025. Ensure that all users add receipts for purchases made before September 1, 2024, to Bezala and approve them before January 2, 2025.

Receipts containing 24% VAT can also be approved after January 2, 2025, but approvers will no longer be able to correct any incorrectly marked VAT percentages to 24% after the VAT percentage is removed.

The 24% VAT information will remain on all receipts where it is marked.
